INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

& DESIGN

I am a recent graduate of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and Design. I am using my degree as an interior designer with Greenbird Design based out of Northwest Arkansas, where I contribute to creating innovative and intentional interior spaces.

During my academic journey, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Rome for four months. I explored the history of architecture and design while traveling across western Europe. This experience significantly impacted my approach to design

and how I view the world around me.

The professors worked with the students to choose a 10'x10' area of their project that would show dynamics and creativity with different techniques.

Fayetteville’s cookery & food garden

spring 2023

this project is a “library of things” which is a collection of objects loaned out to the local community fore use. It contains items that are useful occasionally but a burden to store. fayetteville’s cookery and food garden is a library dedicated to cooking utensils and cook books, as well as hosting a garden that locals are welcome to use in order to learn more about cooking and kitchens. there is space for community cooking classes and hands-on learning to allow users to grow with the support of the staff.

the concept for the project is symbiosis; the intention of the space is to bring together diverse members of the community over a shared desire to learn how to support themselves in a healthy manner combining cooking, nutrition, learning, and fun!

RESPONSIBILITIES

During construction two undocumented columns were found in the center of the newly designed foyer. my mentor assigned me the responsibility of coming up with an idea to hide the columns. a triangular structure that welcomed the congregation and provided information was the chosen solution. this project included weekly site visits to review construction progress with the clients.

INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED Presenting the solutions to hide the columns to the clients, representing the design group at oac meetings, completing INTERIOR RENDERINGS of the new triangular structure and affiliated construction drawings.

this project became a personal precedent for the construction of a space under a design-build company. i was often interacting with the project manager, superintendent, and other construction workers on site.
